Recently, an SFE member was told that the probate case they had applied to expedite was denied due to HMCTS no longer expediting cases where house sales were involved. SFE plans to discuss this with HMCTS on Tuesday 15^th December 2020. SFE Director, Elaine Roche, warned this development is significant as it may not only impact IHT, but could also have a knock-on effect on the housing market.
