Lifetime Lawyers membership categories

There are various levels of Lifetime Lawyers membership, with the highest being Accredited Member (AM). Members can start their Lifetime Lawyers membership journey either at the student level or at the member pending accreditation level. To reach AM status, members must follow the Lifetime Lawyers accreditation pathway.  We expect all our members to move through Lifetime Lawyers’ membership levels to become Lifetime Lawyers accredited. This is because we want to ensure all our members are able to advise clients to the very highest of standards before recommending them to the public. As such, we only showcase our accredited members to the public.

Accredited Member

This is the highest level of Lifetime Lawyers membership. Accredited Members (AM) have achieved accredited status and are experienced in older client law. AMs, as with all Lifetime Lawyers members, must always abide by the Lifetime Lawyers Code of Practice, undertake continuing professional development, hold a current practicing certificate, have the necessary indemnity insurance, and have a full complaints procedure.

AMs are eligible to hold office for Lifetime Lawyers, such as a board director or regional director. AMs are entitled to use the Lifetime Lawyers accredited logo, will appear on public searches on the Lifetime Lawyers website, and will receive PR and marketing materials only available to AMs.

In order to remain at this level of membership, AMs must re-accredit every 5 years. If they do not keep up their accreditation, they will be demoted to Full member until such time as they have re-accredited. AMs can use the term ‘Lifetime Lawyers accredited’ or 'Accredited  Lifetime Lawyer’ and use the Lifetime Lawyers accredited logo on their CV, business cards, website profile, stationery, and email signature.
