Coodes LLP is one of the leading law firms in Cornwall and Devon and the longest established firm in the region. With over 160 staff across 9 offices we provide legal advice across the entire spectrum of business and personal needs, delivered by highly-experienced lawyers with a dedicated and skilled support team.
Coodes has built a reputation over the last decade of being one of the more forward-thinking firms by regional, if not, national standards and a number of our departments and lawyers are recognised as the leaders in the region.
An opportunity for a fee earner to join our Private Client team has arisen. The team of over 10 fee earners has been described by Chambers and Partners as “having a substantial regional presence” and “winning plaudits for its wills, trust and probate work” with a “growing Court of Protection and elderly client focus”.
We would welcome applications from Solicitors, Chartered Legal Executives or those with suitable qualifying experience interested in joining the longest established firm in the region. The role will involve dealing with drafting of Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney, Estate Administration, Tax planning, Court of Protection work and Elderly Client matters generally and would suit candidates with at least 3 years’ experience as a Private Client fee Earner. Consideration would be given to candidates with less experience who are able to demonstrate the skills and knowledge required of the position.
The successful candidate must be able to travel (in county), have experience of successfully delivering in all areas above, excellent communication skills, presentation and the ability to work alone as well as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential.
The role will be based in our modern open plan offices in Falmouth but due to the great strength and depth in the team the right candidate may have the option to be based in Truro if that is desirable. The role offers exceptional opportunities for personal development and advancement in a well-established team.
